I think it's weird how the right finds endless reasons to shit talk America. NFL, Olympics, military, etc. I know it keeps the base angry but probably not great politics to oppose every normal institution.

Normal people like football on Sunday, they like the Olympics, they think the military is good, etc. They don't find attacks on these things appealing.
