An important point is that now we get to see what the evidence was that predicated piercing attorney-client privilege with Corcoran and how much of a stretch it is. That Trump made a supposed 'hand motion' in one instance and while ranting opined about how Hillary's lawyers had said they deleted her emails. And
asking his lawyer what his options are and whether he can say they don't have any documents. The kind of extreme inference and logical jumps, without any proof, that is required to turn that into a crime-fraud exception was of course enough for the Obama-picked DC judge the Democrats have used in all the January 6th trials and Muellerburger, but now its going to be in front of a Trump-picked Florida judge who has previously ruled against overreaching motions by prosecutors in this same case.
Aileen Cannon now has the power to overturn the DC and DC appeals district decisions which would be appealed to the 11th circuit. You can see how liberal outlets like the daily beast are already laying it out like its some grand conspiracy;
https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-ploy-to-stop-feds-from-using-trumps-lawyer-against-himAttorney client privilege is supposed to be hard to breach and for good reason. The idea that an accused can lose his privilege for merely discussing his legal options and asking what would be legal and illegal to his lawyer- the very point of having a lawyer- basically strips away the whole 6th amendment right to counsel. If they actually had evidence of Trump directly telling Corcoran to do something illegal we'd have seen it now the indictment is unsealed. But instead we got "he made a plucking hand motion", when discussing files without any further context or discussion. Lmao. Whats next, he made the okay hand symbol so we know he was telling his lawyers to lynch Obama?
There's no telling for sure
how Cannon will rule on this issue, but it
will be brought up by Trump's (new) legal team, so we'll have to wait and see
Also this could lead to not just nuking the Corcoran testimony and notes but also jeopardizing the entire trial from pre-trial publicity, since the media is blaring details of the case that could be excluded.
