You could do your own research on the Nazi ideology, I'm not an expert but I've read alot - its the same ideology, descendants of Hyperborea, Esoteric Gnosticism etc etc... there is alot of unpack and it cannot be described simply as "kill the jews"

to lay it out: you and i can differ on what we think a "Nazi" really is in the modern context. that's fine. but is it possible to come to a common ground about what a "problematic Nazi" is, in the context of Nazi aims? can we agree that the Azogs are neither trying to take over the globe nor genocide jews?

In the context of Nazi aims I don't think there's a big concern here for the Ukrainian Nazis. In my eyes, its more than the Nazis historically committed so many crimes against Russia that they have the moral right to eradicate such ideology even if it is not a direct threat (though I'm sure they believe it is a very real direct threat that a NATO-backed Ukraine could launch an invasion of Russia)

to me the conversation goes like this:

A: "should we arm ukraine?"

B: "well no, they're LITERAL NAZIS"

A: "so will they do nazi stuff with the guns?"

B: "whats nazi stuff"

A: "you know, killing jews and gypsies, taking over the whole globe, viewing all nonwhites as the next targets for genocide, that stuff"

B:"well no, but they have a nazi flag"


as i said im not for arming ukraine, and i dont like phony nazis, but them being nazis is such a low prio issue its not worth mentioning. there's 10 better reasons to be against arming ukraine.

They do do some nazi stuff with the weapons though. They are notorious for committing war crimes in the Donbas region since the war started in 2015.

not all rectangles are squares. "war crimes" being a tag for "nazi" is way too loose. war crimes are sadly way too common for all armies, thus is the nature of warfare in populated regions.

we've now shifted from "nazi ideology" to "what stuff do they do that nazis did too". im sure some enjoy a stout beer, busty blonde, and wurtz in kraut as well.

I agree that war crimes are certainly not specific to nazis, of course Russia has also committed and are currently committing war crimes - but in my opinion, this means that we should not be supporting either side. Which we both agree on, so it is still legitimate to say we should not be supporting Ukraine because of this

Nazi has been redefined by the left. It’s quite prudent to not dead name in this sense.
