In their world, a proper woman wears a gown with long flowing hair and gloves that come up to the elbows. Something youd expect in a photo from 1905. A girl running around with a short hairstyle and crazy glasses and a jumpsuit is totally rebellious. So when you see a 90 year old woman in horn rims and a bob, she is rebelling.
