Times haven't changed for me. I think we should hold people in positions of power to a high moral standard.
Also I'm not sure you are correct that society goes easier on men who cheat on their wives. Back in the 50's I'm betting a lot more women looked the other way than they do now. That's just natural because women are more empowered these days, from an economic and relationship standpoint.
