times have changed. john doe cheating on his wife is nowadays creating far less outcry than it did 30 or 50 years ago. the moral standard we apply to average citizens has softened - why should the presidency be an exception from this trend?

Times haven't changed for me. I think we should hold people in positions of power to a high moral standard.

Also I'm not sure you are correct that society goes easier on men who cheat on their wives. Back in the 50's I'm betting a lot more women looked the other way than they do now. That's just natural because women are more empowered these days, from an economic and relationship standpoint.
