It's not that Christians are very likely to be criminals. It's that atheists are so overwhelmingly unlikely to be criminals compared to every other group, not just Christians (Pentecostals being the only religious group less likely).

They are still stuck in 'why you saying Christians are criminals? ' land. Explain it to them like ten times more and they might just get that that's not the argument being made.

They're also poor by tradition, going all the way back to slavery, and overly incarcerated, going all the way back to slavery.

That is true, too. I'm just pointing out some demographic aspects about Black Americans that makes them more likely to be religious and Christian.

...you are missing the salient point ...identifying with the family's traditional religion on a prison intake form does NOT accurately identify who among the prison population is Christian or atheist . Sporting a crucifix prison tattoo by a member of the Mexican Mafia does not mean that inmate is Christian either .

Evidence? He clearly is religious. He's been a longtime member of a church in Chicago, and he made a pretty good speech about God's grace in Charleston after the massacre. There's pretty much no reason to think he's not religious.

He's agnostic at best. Most likely atheist.
