It really is mind blowing how often Trump and company lie. Everything is fake news... until it's not.

Why would Trump's lawyer pay $130,000 of his own money to help a client that won't pay him back? Doesn't make sense to me, the only plausible reason I can think of is if he thought Trump would pay it back, but as a lawyer you'd expect him to have a signed agreement before doing it.

afaik its not uncommon for lawyers with such wealthy clients to receive very handsome compensation, so they can quickly take care of things like these without having to bother their client

In an eye-opening exclusive reported by CNN, it was revealed that former Aetna Medical Director, Dr. Jay Ken Iinuma, admitted under oath that “he never looked at patients’ records when deciding whether to approve or deny care.”

This admission was made during a deposition in a lawsuit brought against Aetna by Gillen Washington, a 23 year old with common variable immune deficiency (CVID) who was denied coverage for an infusion of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) four years ago.

He probably has a slush fund on hand to deal with this exact situation when it arises, trump probably set it up 10 years ago.
