https://www.agprofessional.com/article/buy-american-president-budget-proposes-snap-changesThe proposed budget has a particularly radical outline for replacing SNAP entirely with a direct food delivery service and eliminating the retailer/grocer middlemen.

It would give all households receiving more than $90 a month in cash a "USDA Food" package that would "include items such as shelf-stable milk, ready to eat cereals, pasta, peanut butter, beans and canned fruit, vegetables, and meat, poultry or fish," according to the proposal.
The christmasland estimate they provide is that they could give the same nutritional value and foodstuffs to households at the same levels as the current SNAP program, but with only ~2/3 of the budget cost, and providing healthier foods, eliminating most fraud and being entirely american-sourced. Naturally, it just skips over the extreme logistical issues with Trump-MRE's and the political considerations of shifting the benefit from grocers to growers.
What does PARD think? Sounds to me like Donald Trump is a dirty rat socialist bringing government cheese 2.0
