I pace often and I just imagine the portion of boomers who are taking it seriously are just doing 8 figures in their houses and losing it.

Despite the stay at home guidance in MN, tons of privileged city folk made their way up to the beautiful North Shore this weekend to occupy their second property vacation or prepper compounds. City folk look like lunatics buying all of our rural small town toilet paper and soap. In all honesty, its pretty annoying that so many people who should be staying at home choose to travel hundreds of miles to naturally isolated communities to sit in their second home. I'd probably do the same though lol. If the virus breaks out in this dinky ass town though, the majority retired community is going to be SOL.

i havent done much pacing but i do find myself drifting off mentally for 5 minute chunks once an hour or so. mostly mentally preparing for global fallout and anarchy that i know will never actually happen as a result of this.

I mean, they've just been conditioned by all the Zombie and post-apoc novels/movies/tv shows/games. Go rural, you don't want to live in cities with millions of people living in them and they're all infected. You can also spot people coming to you more easily, and use the murican way of dealing with people, gunning them down.

US was most likely going to look at a unemployment rate of 15-20%.. If the US can't follow the guidelines now we will back at this in 3-4 weeks and we will hit 30 and country meltdown.

US is over 40,000 confirmed cases now, although it's to be expected with testing ramping up.

Half of those are in NY. This shit is really dangerous b/c it's spreading like wildfire in a lot of other states.
