We get it. Atheists leave the CF alone because they have to according to the forum rules. If it wasn't moderated, then you're definitelty right, we would see a bunch of atheists posting in there all the time.

Christians needs their safe space.

...what's with the collective " we " , is this another attempt by you to fit in ?

I don't constantly see atheists misrepresenting John, but Leviticus is constantly quoted so I'm encouraging the infidel crowd to get a quick 8 minutes of education.

Education on what? Most of us know you don't follow it. It's Christians who walk around with quotes from it hanging from signs.

Leviticus is for us a good example of how God can promote things we believe to be immoral. It doesn't matter whether you follow it or not.

In a forum filled with angst ridden 20-something year olds who resent God because their poodle died when they were young, it's definitely proper for a Christian fellowship forum to be moderated tightly.

Judging by the volume of Leviticus quotes that has plagued this forum, most of you don't understand why we don't follow it. It understandably has strange sounding laws and I think any atheist trying to develop a better understanding of Christianity would benefit from learning about it.

Christians follow Christian scripture. Why wouldn't they post scripture when engaging in political and religious discussion?

Oh, I completely agree. I think Christians should be spreading the gospel of Christ almost everywhere.

I have a lot of respect for Widow and Ice's faith. At least they are devout and try to follow the Bible the best they can.

On the other hand I have little respect for Christians who pick and choose what parts of the Bible they want to follow and are not devout disciples of Jesus Christ's teachings.

My generation is filled with cafateria Christians who identify as Christians because it is culturally convenient.

Who cares if society thinks you are bigot because you oppose homosexuality? The Bible condemns homosexuality.

Christian progressivism is one of the worst things. Christians are constantly modifying their interpretations of the Bible in order to better fit in with modern socio-political beliefs. So I respect people who are more by the book and strict interpreters of the Bible.

Well leviticus on it's own just makes anyone who follows that religion look like a psychopath. It doesn't include the context to properly understand it.

In fact, as I said before, the main atheist argument that involves leviticus is not that Christians follow the law of leviticus but that they follow the God who promoted what we believe is a hideously immoral codex and that when it comes to the question of morality we simply cannot accept such a God as the arbiter of morality.

...it most certainly does...not to mention New Testament writings that provide perfect context .

Clearly you didn't watch the video, it provides context.

I could care less about your favorite argument against Leviticus, I didn't post the video for you.

The moderator team is making sure no one gets triggered or offended, but this doesn't apply to non-Christians.

This really isn't a hard concept... the Christian fellowship forum is for Christian fellowship, not debate.

Yea... It's the Christian safespace. Good for them. Better for you for not just retreating to the echo chamber and not allowing anyone to challenge your beliefs.
