I'm a bad father because I didn't spend every single minute of a sixteen hour day at home alone with the kid staring directly into the kid's eyes and singing him songs, I'm pretty sure.

Just like I should be ashamed because I care enough about my kid to forsake my career and stay home and take care of him instead of going out and making significantly less than my partner and ending up spending huge portions of my cash on daycare anyway. lol. It's such a terrifyingly hot mess.

Of course, at the root, what he's really saying is "I'm not capable of actually arguing against anything that you've said, but I'm capable of memorizing a few personal facts so that I can cry about them and feel like I've argued against what you've said."

if anything you are doing the right thing by not spending every waking second with your kid. After all they need space too etc. I personally respect tht you can stay at home and take care of your kid, its actually legit cool. I'm honestly suprised people here or elsewhere would hate on this. Probably had shitty dads lol.

Yeah, he's got plenty of space to wander around and learn about his environment and plenty of educational toys, so I don't mind popping off to some JSP, spending a whole 20 seconds writing up a post and then going back to what I was doing, or JSPing while I make food or whatever.

It's fine that you're not capable of addressing the things that I say and it's even okay to be insecure about it, but you should really find a healthier way to express that insecurity.
