not if he's qualified and doing a good job. but if he only got the job instead of a more qualified competitor because of his skin color, thats hurting the performance of the office, and it's hurting its atmosphere.
I personally disagree. diversity is NOT a value in its own right. things dont get magically better by forcing diversity.
on the other hand, if a lack of diversity is the result of active discrimination, then ending this discrimination will be a good thing.
unlike the wannabe "diversity" guys from google (james damore says hello) and others, companies that actually produce something of value cant afford this anyway
but some politicians seem desperate to get rid of entrepreneurial freedom

It probably was when it was a popular. It would affect the bottom 10% of test takers on a standardized test at least. Is that shit that happened in the 80's mostly worth voting for now 30 years later? Also curb the entitlement....people who score in the lowest 10% or whatever aren't the most qualified and the job isn't theirs.
Now states have at-will employment at least. Bad candidates are pretty easy to replace in this job market. Having 1 black guy in a room with 15 white guys isn't really something that hurts us. Also, diversity is important (trigger statement for less reasonable PaRDians).
absolutely not, when everyone has a fair shot, which unfortunately is not always the case
