It's not about the visa my dear. You can't just go to Germany and work there, but I can under current EU law. It's about the free movement of people, visas really only scratch the surface.

It is about visas. A work visa to be exact. They are pretty easy to get for a US citizen.

You are referring to the EU when you claim "26 other countries". That would be like me claiming 49 other countries, assuming I call the states of the US other countries.
In other words...it's just semantics.
