But they had no way to actually explain it, they presented it solely to confuse the jury and introduce doubt, because the standard of proof had been inverted and the prosecutors were kicking up irrelevancies to blind the jury from the facts because they knew they'd vote to convict when in doubt. The defense pointed out that he metabolized fentanyl throughout the day as he was on drugs, then introduced a large spike of unmetabolized fentanyl just before he died. Nobody ever presented any counter-theory that could explain it, but like I said, it doesn't matter, it was a show trial.

So the entire case boiled down to the jury being the prejudiced population of Minneapolis who only had to watch the videos repeatedly, have an emotional reaction, and then ignore any facts they heard during the trial. A very low bar for the prosecutors. It didn't matter if the charges didn't even make sense under the legal definitions, like second degree murder- they would have convicted him of sodomy and blasphemy if the prosecutors threw it in. For all the internets reaction to the Rittenhouse trial so far, lets remember that in polling and mock trials, 2/3 of all Kenosha residents were willing to convict Rittenhouse before a trial and 80% ignored everything at trial. People here might be reacting more to the case far more than the actual residents will. As the old adage goes, think of how dumb the average person is, then realize half are dumber than that, then realize that Hillcrest School in Kenosha has a 20% highschool graduation rate and 10% math proficiency rate

Agreed. When I hear people talking about Floyd I say the guy died because he was trying to avoid a charge by eating all his drugs and then fighting / not complying. And when people say I’m wrong, I tell them to take that much fentenal (dunno how to spell it) and lmk if they survive

and even if we would trust the blm antifa etc,. there were two cops of non white background there, out of four, half. how this was racially motivated is beyond me.
