He was 5'5" and 130 lbs.

And you can't make the claim that he was a drug addict. Kids experiment. SWS hard.

in an outrageous scandal, white people are being forced to pay more for food in new orleans where a food stall owner is charging $12 to non whites and $30 to whites for the exact same food :o

A customer approaches the window at Saartj, a pop-up food stall in New Orleans running a social experiment. Customers of color are charged the listed $12 price for a meal. White customers are told about the income gap in New Orleans between whites and African-Americans and asked whether they want to pay $30 instead, a price that reflects the gap.

Can a $12 lunch change the way people think about racial wealth disparity in America? How about a $30 lunch? That's the premise behind a social experiment playing out in a New Orleans food stall.

Chef Tunde Way opened his pop-up stall in the city's Roux Carre venue in early February. The listed price for the Nigerian food is $12. But when white people walk up to order, they are asked whether they want to pay $30. Why? "It's two-and-a half times more than the $12 meal, which reflects the income disparity" between whites and African-Americans in New Orleans, says Wey.

It's not really a social experiment..... it's racism.

The two aren't mutually exclusive nor does "social experiment" mean "effective at proving our theory" any more than any other kind of experiment. Given the terrible perspectives of many in the sociology sphere and differing opinions that isn't even possible. Many social experiment's use overt racism as their catalyst, the stronger the catalyst the stronger the reaction. The stronger the reaction the more clear you can draw conclusions, even if the conclusion is that overt racism causes overt racism rather than the perspective shift the experiment sought.

EACH DAY WE OFFERED A SINGLE LUNCH PLATE WITH TWO PRICING OPTIONS; A STANDARD PRICE OF $12, AND A SUGGESTED PRICE OF $30. THE STANDARD PRICE WAS AVAILABLE TO ALL CUSTOMERS, WHILE THE SUGGESTED PRICE WAS OFFERED TO WHITE CUSTOMERS (THE PRICING DIFFERENTIAL REPRESENTS THE WAGE DISPARITY BETWEEN BLACK AND WHITE HOUSEHOLDS IN NEW ORLEANS). THE NET PROFIT COLLECTED FROM SALES AT THE SUGGESTED PRICE WAS REDISTRIBUTED TO CUSTOMERS OF COLOR.

from their site, wtf does that bolded even mean and how did they do this legally?

They don’t outright charge more for whites, they ask if you would like to pay more. I guess the 18$ extra is accounted for as some sort of charity donation and not just pocketed by them. Wouldn’t be all that surprising though.

ya how do you give 18$ back to "customers of color" in a tax acceptable manner? Perhaps if it were 24$ for whites, and then that meant that for every over-paying white they could give a POC their meal for free. even that though seems like a potentially illegal business practice, you're acting as a charity holding money without (i assume) tracking that.

honestly if it said "POC causes" instead of "customers of color" I'd understand, maybe it's just worded poorly. they did use all caps afterall.

if it were a bigger business i'd assume it was all on the level, but as it's a regional food stand doing this for publicity im less certain.

Man who played the title character of Doctor Who, one of the longest running and most popular worldwide television shows of all time, makes more than relatively unknown actress. gasp, the horror.

sjw's really are terrible at achieving their goals, thank god.
