Of course religion folk are going to nitpick the 53 of the 63 studies, but is anyone really surprised by this result?

Atheists are disproportionately wealthier and better educated than their religious counterparts. Lots of confounding variables here.

A religious person who is just as wealthy and educated as the average atheist probably has a similar IQ.

So it's probably not as much of a correlation of IQ with religious/not religious as it is with wealth and education, but I'd argue there is at least some correlation there. It's probably not a lot, but it is there.

Wealthy, well-educated religious with high iqs are relatively rare.
