Sure if only israel atrocities started after oct 7 you might have been able to make some sort of coherent point about being more aggressive against your enemies. But this is not the case. Gaza was before oct7 described by UK prime minister David Cameron in 2010 as a "prison camp" and the way israeli settlers are just slaughtering and attacking innocent people in the west bank with complete impunity shows and further cements the true face of the israeli government. If Israel wants peace it needs to be peaceful. It needs to stop taking land, it needs to stop their greater israel project and until then it should be sanctioned and barred from trade with the rest of the world.

UK prime minister Winston Churchill said “let them all starve” of British civilians and German occupying forces on the Channel islands in 1944. He also said(of taking food from India during a famine) that the starvation of underfed Indians was less of a concern than the starvation of hardy Greeks—who were fighting Nazis.

It’s easy to see fault in others when you are safe. We have the whole of history to see how literally everybody reacts to real threats. In case you don’t have time to read history I’ll give you the answer—we all react with utter brutality, or we lose and die.

Peace is achieved through the ability and willingness to wage war. “If you want peace, you need to be peaceful.” Is nonsense. Acting peacefully was not a valid option for us after Pearl Harbor and it’s not a valid option for Israel after Oct. 7. What they are fighting for is the same thing we fought for. Nothing less than unconditional surrender and an inability for the enemy to conduct future attacks. The UN would call Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Dresden, Tokyo and countless other Allied campaigns war crimes today. Each of these campaigns taken individually was far worse than the sum total of Israel’s war in Gaza to date. We did terrible things to ensure lasting peace. Unfortunately, war really is hell.

your passive defense failed because your passive defense was a joke. 3rd worlders in jeeps broke in and you failed to see it coming (or knew and didnt stop in anyways) then let them murder indiscriminately and get back home.

its funny that when people suggest Iran with a full barrage of ballistic missiles have damaged Tel Aviv you tell them they're idiots. that Tel Aviv is fine, and the iron dome held out. but at the same time say rocket fire from Gaza was the real threat, and a DMZ wouldnt have stopped that, so you had to put an entire civilization of your own second class citizens into the stone age.

you say these things and they actually make sense in your head, even though they make zero sense to anyone. thats why your grand kids will be fighting still, because Bibi and his ilk have confused you all so much that you're acting like morons.

You’re conflating a tactical failure with a strategic reality. Yes, the intelligence failure on Oct 7th was catastrophic, and the 'passive defense' was indeed breached. But your solution is essentially for us to build a taller wall and wait for them to find a taller ladder

Suggesting that Iron Dome makes rocket fire 'not a real threat' is easy to say from a distance. No nation on earth would accept a reality where its citizens live at the mercy of an interceptor's success rate.

The 'sense' it makes is simple: We tried the 'passive' route for two decades. It resulted in the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. The strategy now isn't about 'Bibi' it’s a national consensus that we will no longer live next to a mobilized army dedicated to our destruction. If that doesn't make sense to you, it’s likely because you aren't the one who has to put your kids to sleep in a bomb shelter.

Citing the West Bank to justify the actions in Gaza is a deflection from the point I made. In 2005, Israel dismantled every settlement in Gaza and withdrew to the 1967 lines. That was an attempt at 'being peaceful' and 'not taking land.' The response wasn't a peaceful neighbor; it was two decades of rocket fire and the construction of a massive terror infrastructure.

You’re suggesting that security is a reward for good behavior, but security is a fundamental right. No amount of political disagreement justifies the mass murder and rape of civilians. When you say 'Israel needs to be peaceful,' you are essentially asking us to return to the 'passive defense' that failed us, while our neighbors openly state their goal is to repeat October 7th again and again. We’ve learned that 'waiting for peace' while a threat mobilizes on the border isn't a strategy it’s a suicide pact.

In context "taller ladder" means a literal 1 mile dead zone with soldiers told to shoot and kill anyone who wanders into it, with seismic sensors to look out for tunnels. but sure, maybe they'll roll through that on toyota trucks and cut fences lmao. judging on the oct 7th reaction that might actually be true. you pansies can send in drones and bombs but you're not any good at ground operations.

n nation on earth? lol. we have been dealing with death tolls every year to Fent and gang violence by the drug cartels for decades. do we roll into mexico and kill a bunch of civilians in order to "take them out". no, because we're smart enough to realize its just going to end up with a pile of dead civilians and another cartel waiting to take their place. you cant kill cockroaches by stomping on one at a time, you need to bug bomb the whole house. but hey, that brings us back to genocide, which you deny is the goal.

care to argue yourself any more with another response?

Please cut the insults we can debate in good faith

Comparing a drug cartel to an organized military government is an amateur mistake. Cartels want to sell products; they aren't launching 5,000 rockets at San Diego or sending thousands of armed men to door-to-door to massacre families in their beds. If a cartel did that, the US response would look exactly like a war.

You claim a 1-mile DMZ and sensors are the solution, but you’re ignoring 20 years of history. We had sensors. We had a fence. The 'ladder' they found wasn't just a physical one; it was an underground network of hundreds of miles of tunnels that a DMZ doesn't solve

You call us 'pansies' for using drones, but the 'ground operations' you’re mocking are exactly what is happening now to dismantle that infrastructure so our kids don't have to live in shelters. You can call it 'moronic' from the safety of your keyboard, but for us, 'sitting and waiting' for the next invasion isn't an option. We’re not looking for a taller wall; we’re removing the army that’s trying to climb it.

So what is the final solution for Palestine?

It’s not a question of intelligence; both Israelis and Palestinians are capable and smart. It’s a question of will.

If the Palestinian leadership wanted a state living peacefully next to us, it would have happened in 1948, 2000, or 2008 when offers were on the table. The tragic reality we've seen and what was reinforced on October 7th is that the current goal of their leadership isn't to live next to us, but instead of us. You can't bridge a gap with someone who views your existence as a temporary problem to be solved.

you're not removing anything, you're just mowing grass, which will grow back. thats why you started the where's daddy program, to kill hamas soldiers with their kids to prevent them from taking up their father's guns. even that wont work.

you're not arguing in good faith, you're ignoring blatant reality while asking me to play along. you can't stop hamas forever unless you kill all of the palestinians, but also you say you're not genocidal and dont want to kill them all. you ethnically cleansed people from their homes and then sent in missiles into refugee camps. but you think the next generation of potential Hamas soldiers is going to be convinced by your pamphlets and you saying "it was only 3% of your population, no big deal"?

you're in a chinese finger trap, the harder you pull the more you get stuck. you want to save future generations of kids but have actually just sealed their fate to match your own. the abraham accords were the only way out, and you burned them up. then started a war in iran, which p*ssed on the ashes. then invaded lebanon, giving hesbollah thousands of martys to recruit with. everything you do just digs the hole deeper. you're the one who needs a big ladder, they just need fertilizer bombs and you do the work for them. israel is the best terrorist recruitment tool the world has ever known.

It’s easy to call it a 'finger trap' when it’s not your finger. You're analyzing the 'chemistry' of the conflict how people feel and react while I have to deal with the 'physics' of it: the tunnels, the rockets, and the men coming through the fence.

You say military action is a recruitment tool, but you’re ignoring that the 'quiet' years were used to build a subterranean fortress. If we do nothing, they build. If we fight, you say we recruit. In your version of reality, Israel's only moral choice is to sit still and wait for the next massacre. That isn't 'good faith' that’s asking us to accept a death sentence to prove we aren't 'mean.' What is your actual, practical alternative for Tuesday morning

its funny that you categorize the brutal occupation of Gaza and settlement policy in the West Bank as "doing nothing". you've kept 50% of your population in a second class citizen status, denying them the right to vote in your "democracy" for decades. now you've moved on to training dogs to assault them in prisons with no trial and a death penalty that applies only to them.

there is only 1 solution, period. give up land, create a Palestinian state. or preferably 2 so that gaza and the west bank are each a separate entity. then get defensive, and wait out 10 or more years of the silly attacks that will ensue. revenge motivation will run out, and the #freepalestine movement will be instantly fractured. sure some psychos want to return to a pre-Naakba all arab controlled region, but most realize that wont happen. restart the abraham accords and hope that regional islamic allies take up the cause to wrangle away the new nations from the Iranian sphere. actually work with Lebanon to pull a pincer attack on Hesbollah to prevent them from just backing into the Lebanese interior. make Gaza egypts problem at every single avenue. start actually rebuilding syria instead of letting it be an ISIS run failed state. build inroads with jordan to encircle the west bank.

war will only breed more war. the war to end all wars is a farce and always has been. peace through strength is just a weapons manufacturer's lie.
