I said most states, which considering there are 216 is accurate. There have been studies showing the effectiveness of masks and social distancing. One done in my hometown at Kansas University.

The reason there are more cases in the blue states mentioned is because of population density (thos 4 states are at top of pop density list). There is a direct correlation when i compare population density and deaths/million.

I said deaths per million people, not cases per million people, regarding those four states (New Jersey, New York, Mass, and Conn). When it comes to case load, they are ranked 28th, 27th, 37th, and 40th respectively. The highest case load (per million people) states were North Dakota followed by South Dakota, both of which have significantly lower deaths per million population. So no, nothing you've said explains why blue states with lower cases per million population have 2 to 3 times the deaths per million population.

Like I said previously, Biden getting 138k out of 138k is at best a little sketchy.

its not authoritarian to suggest your followers wear masks or stop having parties.

especially because the democrats were already on board and his followers would do whatever he asked them to by-and-large.

authoritarianism = laws/action, messaging is different. related sure, but different.

It wouldn't matter if it's actually authoritarian or not imo. The media would jump all over the chance like rabid dogs to claim it. Forcefully superseding the individual state's rights to govern would've been the schtick.

but the media wanted masks and social distancing too. so they'd call him authoritarian for agreeing with not only them, but doctor Fauci, and the democrats?

im usually all for "media is against trump" narratives, but come on man.

more total cases can result in more deaths per million because of hospitals running out of beds, also because the the more cases you have the harder to focus on individual patients.

USA is in top 5% of countries ranked death per million.
