That BS commission, already has all your info...if you are a legal citizen, which is why voter ID is so important.
If you are an illegal alien, then you shouldn't even be here, let alone be able to vote.

wow, you really don't have the slightest clue, do you? no, the commission does NOT have that info, you are fake news.
that's what the ruling was about - that bs commission does NOT have the legal authority to force the states to give them the extensive information they demand. the latest ruling merely states that they can still ASK for it because it was a GROUP that filed the lawsuit and not an INDIVIDUAL protected by the privacy law in question - a technicality if you wish.

it's really not fun if i have to explain the articles you post and how your government works to you...

and again, there is NO evidence of widespread or even significant voter fraud. the only "purpose" this serves is to calm down the man-baby in charge who still can't get over the fact that he lost the irrelevant popular vote against a horrible democratic candidate, and to push for restrictive voter ID laws that aim to disfranchise even more voters, as if the republicans and their efforts to suppress voter rights hadn't already damaged america's democracy enough...

Pence is the VP of the US. he has access to any citizen's info when ever he wants.

He already has access to your SSN, your address, phone number, spending habits, voting habits, etc.
The Supreme Court upheld the administrations right to request the info from the states. (Their version of it anyways).

I feel there is more going on in this, than is in the article. I think this is "also" gonna be used as a tool for the republicans to finally prove that the dems were the ones trying to change the outcome of the election. Just a guess.

As for voter ID's themselves... well they are definitely needed. IMO, this is just one more part of "drain the swamp".

so when the facts (like the one that the commission asked the states for this information) directly contradict your claim ("That BS commission, already has all your info"), you just make up ridiculous stuff to cover up your shitty lie? pathetic...

also, the facts and evidence don't care about your "feelings" and "guesses". experts from BOTH parties overwhelmingly say there is NO widespread voter fraud. the only proven "fraud" is the disfranchisement of voters by republicans, a topic you unsurprisingly completely avoided so far.

i understand why republicans feel voter IDs are "needed" though - and it has certainly nothing to do with the legitimacy of elections, but rather a desperate attempt to tip the scales even further in their favour (because the electoral college, extensive and shameless gerrymandering, and systematic voter suppression aren't enough) in order to compete...

do you realize that, due to the birthright citizenship granted by the 14th amendment, allowing illegal immigration is also a form of (slow-burning) disenfranchisement, in this case of conservative voters? democrats and republicans are not that different when it comes to playing dirty to strengthen the own political footing, even though the methods differ a lot.

its happening here as well, there is a reason why our left wing parties want teenagers and even foreigners to vote in the elections

felons cant vote, things that ended in 1965, some places require photo ID, sometimes there are even elections in 'off years' where the president isnt even voted on.. expecting people to show up those years is suppression
some really unreasonable stuff there!

'systematic voter suppression' LUL

How dare those republicans want to verify that you are actually an american before being allowed to vote to do things like expand government, suppress liberty and take things from Americans
Everyone should be allowed to vote (Democrat) in our elections. Mexicans. European Socialists. Murderers. Dead people. etc. Diversity is strength!

The votes of illegal immigrants and other noncitizens should be suppressed. I've never been too keen on the felony thing, but citizenship for sure
