Pence is the VP of the US. he has access to any citizen's info when ever he wants.
He already has access to your SSN, your address, phone number, spending habits, voting habits, etc.
The Supreme Court upheld the administrations right to request the info from the states. (Their version of it anyways).
I feel there is more going on in this, than is in the article. I think this is "also" gonna be used as a tool for the republicans to finally prove that the dems were the ones trying to change the outcome of the election. Just a guess.
As for voter ID's themselves... well they are definitely needed. IMO, this is just one more part of "drain the swamp".
so when the facts (like the one that the commission asked the states for this information) directly contradict your claim ("That BS
commission,
already has all your info"), you just make up ridiculous stuff to cover up your shitty lie? pathetic...
also, the facts and evidence don't care about your "feelings" and "guesses". experts from BOTH parties overwhelmingly say there is NO widespread voter fraud. the only proven "fraud" is the disfranchisement of voters by republicans, a topic you unsurprisingly completely avoided so far.
i understand why republicans feel voter IDs are "needed" though - and it has certainly nothing to do with the legitimacy of elections, but rather a desperate attempt to tip the scales even further in their favour (because the electoral college, extensive and shameless gerrymandering, and systematic voter suppression aren't enough) in order to compete...
