While I can certainly understand how this can be viewed as Trayvon being pursued because of bias, a trial by jury found that when you are pinned on the ground getting your head bashed you can defend yourself.
I'm not a big fan of "Stand your Ground", outside your own home, but if there was no crime verdict and the Federal review found a charge of Hate crime to be unsupported in this case. Maybe this one case shouldn't be a hingepin issue.
After all there were over 6,000 Criminal Cases in 2016 that did meet the standard and were classified as such
