more dishonest framing in favour of the hate mongers. you can promote hate without saying anything outright offensive, hateful, or directly inciting violence. it's almost like you're completely new to the concept of language, subtext, and context. what you want to downplay as merely "partisan ramblings" IS a coordinated effort to marginalise and discriminate against a specific community. only genuine idiots wouldn't see right trough the thin veneer of deniability by barely avoiding posting anything too direct, lol. again, the dog whistles are deafening.

maybe read this whole thread again. i never said that there are directly hateful tweets towards the LGBT+ community of hers still out there - that's just what the other GQP nutter just straw-manned my AOC quote as, in order to deflect from the obvious truth of her promoting these baseless conspiracies - and you uncritically accepted that pivot, and acted like it's something i actually said, lol.

Eh, I tried but maybe you’re a lost cause after all and being angry 24/7 on a gaming forum is your calling.

you "tried" to save face by ignoring the fact that you insisted on me providing "proof" for something i never even claimed in the first place.

you "tried" to distract from the fact that i provided ample proof of what i ACTUALLY said / supported, and that it is a position that is backed by statistical evidence and common sense.

you "tried" to portray a coordinated campaign of hateful, demonstrably false narratives, and the resulting hostility and violence against a specific minority, as merely misunderstood, harmless "partisan ramblings".

you failed.

You actually tried to find another Tweet and even posted it but it was far from being hateful. Maybe she contributed to some people having a negative opinion on trans people, but you failed to demontrate it stemmed from her "hateful rhetoric". You did provide and interesting, yet extremely biased paper from a NGO in which there is a single Tweet from Lauren Boebert, which is at worst stupid but in no way hateful. If someone interprets the Tweet displayed on page 21 (which is probably the worst they could find) as hateful and a call for violence that’s on them. Maybe it meets your criteria for hate speech, but that’s not the case for everyone.

When I say I tried, I meant that I tried to make you cut down on the hate yourself. Childish name calling, vulgar personal attacks and incitement to suicide of a forum member is certainly ample proof to label you a dangerous extremist. Maybe it’s time for you to look at your actions before being so quick to judge others, but you’ll brush that off once more and come back tomorrow ready to do it all again for years to come. The hypocrisy of man so full of hate, but so quick to condemn it.

"maybe she contributed to some people having a negative opinion" - what a description for a blatant hate monger pushing a completely made up narrative in order to marginalise and discriminate against a specific community. "austere religious scholar" much?

you simply refuse to consider the context of her whole political career, statements, and rhetoric, in order to pretend reality simply doesn't exist. fine. you're obviously entitled and free to do that, but it sure makes me wonder WHY you are so desperate to downplay her role in pushing the baseless "groomer" angle? is it simply your ego preventing you from admitting i'm right, or was your claim to disagree with her on the issue itself a lie? again, you can't have it both ways, pretend to have a reasonable, reality based position on this topic, and also give her the benefit of the (non existing) doubt every step of the way, lol.

also, you have no business whatsoever clutching your pearls over my tone, lol. if it hurts your precious feelings, just ignore me - but considering all the cringe fantasies about my personal life that you posted here in just the last couple of hours, i recommend you don't ever try play tone police again. do you even read your own posts, hypocrite?

I’m not insulting anyone or inciting anyone to suicide over a meaningless discussion on a gaming forum. The only thing cringe here is your abhorrent behaviour with almost everyone who engages you. You have no place discussing hate speech when it’s your #1 mode of communication.

you know that "touching grass" means going offline, not committing suicide, right? maybe stop uncritically accepting the lies of a GQP nutter and focus on trying to be less of a hack.

also, interesting that you seem to have fully committed to your cringe tone police angle, conveniently ignoring my question:

If someone commits an hateful act aimed at LGBT such as the one in this thread, the blame lies on them first and foremost. It’s called personal responsibility. She’s not calling for anyone to commit heinous acts against trans people, she’s expressing disgust at some of the stuff pushed on kids. There certainly are prominent people on Twitter openly pushing hate against trans people and she’s not one of them from what you showed. No matter how you twist and turn the argument around or stroke your ego, I’ve made my view clear. You can disagree and we can leave it at that.

e/ Why do you downplay your role in inciting hate on this forum with your regular flaming, name calling and incitement to suicide?

you're moving the goal post again. i neither said nor implied that boebert is legally responsible for this scumbag's actions. of course she isn't. she didn't kill anyone directly, to the best of my knowledge she didn't tell anyone to kill LGBT+ people directly, heck, i don't even know for sure if the murderer read HER tweets or followed her lead specifically. that is NOT the point i'm making though, and it's frankly shocking that you still haven't realised that, and rather insist on continuing to misrepresent my actual position.

again, for the slow crowd: the point is that she has played a major role in pushing the baseless "groomer" narrative and general anti-LGBT+ sentiments. she's also a huge gun nut, opposing any kind of common sense regulation, which might very well have prevented the terrorist from obtaining the weapons that allowed him to kill and injure all those people. in short, she has a terrible political record on both issues central to this specific mass shooting, so she simply doesn't get to "thoughts and prayers" her way out of the situation. i'm not calling for her to get arrested or silenced or anything along those lines, i'm merely saying she was instrumental in promoting and platforming the latest surge of lies and hatred towards the LGBT+ community.

bill o'reilly also wasn't legally responsible for the murder of george tiller. he didn't pull the trigger, and he also didn't tell anyone specifically to go ahead and shoot the guy in the head. he "only" repeatedly used his show, watched by millions of conservatives, to target him, call him a "baby killer", tell outright lies and exaggerations to rile up his viewers, until one of them eventually murdered the guy.
yes, the likes of o'reilly and boebert don't technically do anything illegal. even they are "smart" (or well advised) enough to stop just short of that in what they explicitly say. that does, however, not mean that people who push such lies and hatred on their massive public platforms aren't at least morally co-responsible for increasing the likelihood of such acts. maybe look up what "stochastic terrorism" is, if you really still don't understand that concept...

now go ahead and clutch your pearls again, push your own lies and false equivalences, and pretend some randos calling each other names on jsp is the same (lol) - but i hope that even someone like you might just be intelligent enough to realise that's not even remotely true, even if you obviously don't have the character to ever admit that...

I never said you implied legal resppnsibility either. You still hint that she’s responsible for violent acts against trans people because she called some questionable people groomers.

Didn’t read the rest since it starts out false.
