didnt you know that criminals always do their best to follow the laws? its already illegal to possess illegal guns, to murder, to shoot at LE, to trespass, etc.

wrong and (intentionally or ignorantly) misleading: in switzerland, people who have been trained to competently and responsibly handle a firearm in the army (military service there is mandatory) get to keep theirs. they have strict ownership rules and a competent (mental) health care system.

they are also a massive outlier when the general rule of thumb is: fewer guns -> fewer mass shootings (unsurprisingly). many countries have successfully reined in mass shooting events through strict gun regulation.

The European's master is the supranational bureaucracy they've raised up around themselves. It's hard to be free if you aren't sovereign. But I think your criticism is misplaced, Europe's lack of equality is staggering.

nice whataboutism, doesn't change the fact that large parts of europe don't just enjoy more rights and protections than the US, but also significantly more freedom.

we work fewer hours, have less poverty, guaranteed maternity leave, significantly lower prison populations, affordable healthcare... it's almost like guns are NOT what protects you from government tyranny, it's almost like you're just using that as an excuse to justify that you simply value your right to play with guns more than the right of kids to not be massacred...

in a fit of irony, all US politicians and most public figures who want more gun laws (already thousands legislated and signed into law) have armed taxpayer-funded security around them or their workplace at all times, yet do not want even a security guard around to potentially protect children in ‘gun free zone’ schools
