Also, you know what the prefix "dys-" stands for in medicine, right?

I wouldn't go that far to say it is a disease, but definitely a genetic anomaly if I want to put it in a better way.
And yes, it is some sort of a mental illness, but then again mental illness is quite common nowadays especially in first world countries, just how extreme your mental condition is.

I would wish them godspeed in whatever way they try to deal with it. Just do not make it seem like it is natural to normal to everyone else or at least the majority of mankind.

If you can hold a job, have working relationships, and it doesn't negatively impact your ability to live your life, you do not have a disease. Period. That's how we define diseases actually.



Gender dysphoria is mostly a disease caused by environment. If you are surrounded by people who don't treat you like shit for being trans you don't tend to develop gender dysphoria.

I never said it's not the tranny's decision to disclose it. I am just saying that it's conceivable how the other party might feel deceived or at least misled. Usually when people see someone who appears like a woman, they assume that she is a woman. Trannies have ruined this.



I might need to take your word for it cause you have a background in science. However I had always thought gender dysphoria roughly meant people's idea of their gender does not match up with their actual sex.

This is also true, and in the end it leads to a lot of complications towards the straight male who might have wanted a normal relationship that might lead to a natural family unit.
