Biden will do literally anything the mainstream american left wants. some people just have a hell of a time accepting that mainstream leftist voters dont want extremely progressive ideas. they dont want someone to declare war on the corporations they work for and depend on, they dont want someone to institute extreme racial equality measures, they dont want massive expansion of programs that will burden the tax payer greatly, etc.

its not pandering when it's what people want. its only pandering if you're fringe and take his words to mean "finally someone progressive".

yeah if anything Biden has done much less pandering than the typical (D) politician so far. remember 2016 and Hillary with the embarrassing hot sauce routine and southern drawl act to court black voters? Then you have Biden just screaming "you ain't black" if you don't vote for him lmfao

saying that the USA doesnt fit into the world's political spectrum every time someone says left or right must be tiring. informs no one. and just comes off as pedantic.

This is really what it comes down to. "Mainstream left" in the United States is kind of meaningless since our center is the middle of the right.

Very basic things like nationalized healthcare and education are far-left in our system. Our "left wing" candidates somehow never want to raise taxes to the levels they were at before the last tax decrease. So we end up going 45% -> 35% -> 38% (Look HE'S SO LEFT WING!) -> 25% -> 28% (LOOK, HE'S SO LEFT WING!)



If we do it all the time it should be easy to understand what we mean then.
