I'm just curious if the drop in mortality rate over a 1-2 day period is solely due to the previous under reporting, or if there are other factors at play, like what region(s) are these new cases from (Wuhan, or other locations that aren't at ground zero). I suppose we'll see how things pan out in the next few days, to see if the rate changes significantly or not. If we get to two million cases, a 0.2% difference in mortality rate is 4000 people dying or not.
IMO the details of mortality rate is lost in-bewteen the needs to modify numbers in order to limit the world panic & markets crash and the amount of poor ones who do not find a place at hospital and are quarantined in "hotels" without medical treatment and are even malnourished.
Could be 2%-ish with top notch care, or much more alone in a cave. Yet i think we mostly have to watch how it spread over seas, they cant hide this.
