Saving the Southern part of Korea from a communist regime in the 1950s, thus facilitating millions to live in a wealthy capitalist society instead of experiencing famine, torture and death. All thanks to the US, with a bit of allied help.

Right, I forgot that "communism bad" and that the world needs America to make sure that famine, torture and death are exclusively caused by capitalism.

Seeing as you're French it's no surprise you are used to surrendering in war, may I remind you we had to save you in back to back world wars.

I know you like to twist facts in order to support your views, but isn't it going a bit too far when you unabashedly change my nationality?

Nice dodge - but it won't work on me sunshine. The democratic and capitalist powerhouse that is South Korea is because of American interventionist foreign policy, and they have America to thank for not being starved by that fat midget in the north. You can make edgy points about capitalism all you like.

Guns are a glaring issue that foreigners often cannot fathom. Like it or not guns are a part of the very fabric of USA. The reason we have guns is because our constitution says we have the right to.

Don't blame an entire nation because 1 gun got into the hands of an 11 year old. Whoever owned that gun is at fault for not keeping it in a safe place.

There is stupid people everywhere in the world. It's bound to happen that some idiot will have a gun and not look after it responsibly.

What I would really like to see is the owner of the gun (the grandfather in this case) being criminally charged with... something.... if it can be proven that their gross negligence directly resulted in the gun being available to the kid who then used it to kill somebody. If the US started doing this people would be a lot more careful about where they leave their guns.

Thank you my friend! They hate on America because they are jealous and ignore of all the good things that America has done for the world.

And all the countries that are still as dirt poor and corrupted as before America came to spread the word about capitalism -- how do those contribute?

The USA's foreign policy is a joke, but even the fact that we're discussing this is just a red herring from your side. My point was, and is: the USA's military actions on foreign soil have a ridiculously low rate of success, and is not something that Americans should be boasting about. The American involvement in "saving" South Korea from communism is quite a small achievement when you compare it to the lives lost elsewhere -- and even inside the USA -- because of the USA's military trigger-happiness.

Oh right! Because the USA is a great country for entrepreneurship and technological development, it has the right to be the world's policeman. Right.

Wait, no, I don't get it. What is your point?

By the way, quite ironic that you say you reported a post that broke no rules, and then proceed to flame me in the very same post.

The population of South Korea is 51 million. Your number one example of bad foreign policy would probably be Iraq where the highest estimates of civilian casualties are around 1 million. So actually it's not a small achievement at all. America could butcher 10 million arabs and still have made a more positive contribution to the world than you French fucks ever have...
