The american middle class is crashing and the retails stores with it, while the stock markets are completely disconnected of reality.
How much trillions more deficit now with this glorious tax plan ? While in the same time alot of americans will lose any kind of health support ?

You keep calling it a break, it's not, it's an increase. A tax that's never been there before.

Oh so the deductions that help people like you are essential whereas the deductions that help other people are unfair handouts. Now I see.

Nope, not my position at all.

I'd actually pay less under the new plan because I'm at a cheap university.

I'm just a smart person who knows there's more important things in my country than my own bottom line.

It's purely selfish.

I'd like a country that is in a better place in fifty years.

The benefits of having a more stable and powerful country far outweigh a few more dollars in my pocket.

Unfortunately most people aren't willing, or just not able to recognize the long term benefit.

Fair enough, people can have different opinions on how to build a stronger country.

I'm still mad that the government massively subsidizes research and the resulting papers are all behind paywalls. Fuck academia for that. One thing the Europe has more right than us.

The thing is the government doesn't subsidize the cost to review the papers, just the cost to do the research. I would agree if the government was paying for the journal to be published but they aren't.

I'd actually love if the government would pay for journals that way it would remove the profit incentive and allow for more unbiased review process.

Already trillions in deficit so this tax plan won’t change that.

Many of the people have Obamacare out of obligation and would drop it the moment the individual mandate was repealed. It’s garbage premiums with garbage deductibles and they don’t use it anyway because it’s too expensive.
