The AfD, of course, hates her. The left is sort of meh on her. As someone on the left you know, that you're not going to get a more left CDU chancellor than Merkel (speaking about realistic options) but you're definitely going to get a CDU chancellor. The Left likes her about as much as the SPD likes her and otherwise the left prefer her to even one of the Green candidates and they only prefer Schulz by a small margin. If you look at some of the other numbers you will even see, that the CDU has a more negative view of Schulz than the Left has of Merkel.

journalists have done some research in her past in the socialist eastern german state and old colleagues from university stated that they have always wondered what she is doing there
being a leftist utopia supporter, which obviously was a requirement to have a career there btw, they expected her to join the green party or the left wing of the social democrats
thankfully her time is up soon, she cant stay in submarine mode forever
