More testing, construction of sites to discharge recovering covid+ patients when they are sub-acute but shouldn't go back to a nursing home, production of adequate personal protective gear to keep providers safe, not undermining efforts to keep the spread down by leading an anti-mask/medicine movement of anti-intellectuals at least.
I agree those would have been good options to implement, but I don't think this would have prevented a recession. With these changes, lockdowns still would have happened and decisions made by various state leaders would have continued the spread or enforced longer lockdowns due to fear (i.e. Cuomo/Newsome/etc).
