I'm kind of baffled the child was so close to the water. From what I understand, they were inside Disney World and the staff didn't even know there were gators inside the park where the family was.
That's still odd the child was that close to the water without the parents standing next to the boy.
Dunno. It reminded me of the time my sister, nephew, and I were at the park. A little boy thought this giant fucking nutrea swimming in a pond was a cat and was about to go over and pet it when my sister ran over and grabbed him.
Of course, that's when the boy's parents flipped out, until I pointed out the goddamn 4-foot-long territorial swamp rodent of unusual size was still standing there hissing at us for stealing her meal.
People don't watch their kids closely enough around water.
