Plenty will want to return home but others will have built lives here and have nothing left for them there. It's also not even close to being safe just because the major strongholds have been cleaned out.

You guys actually make me fucking sick with your lack of humanity. Don't worry - if the US descends into civil war and you want to come to Europe to escape the bloodshed with your family I'll still welcome you.

It’s easy to be humane and assume a moral high ground when you’re not an earner. I know you’re not an earner because when people actually start making more and more they have a problem with more and more of their earned income going towards subsidizing others.
If I’m middle class in UK and my taxes have to go up because we need more money for subsidies it’s something that actually impacts me compared to a pleb like you that barely pays any taxes to begin with.

Quite ironic how this moral high ground crowd never wants to take matters into their own hands and donate & contribute, instead they try to force others to pick up the tab.

we could help these guys rebuild and deliver provisions there and the costs would be peanuts compared to the dozends of billions we invest here for lifetime state handout beneficiaries

vouch, i was a helpless moralist myself when i was younger and my parents kept telling me "just wait until you have to earn your own upkeep and you will change many opinions"
needless to say that they were right after all

I'm currently a University student. But I have been an earner and I'd happily pay an extra few pennies a month to help refugees. But we don't need to - we can more than afford it.

I'v also gone gone back to University and now work less than i used to. I'm sure we're in fairly similar situations when it comes to earning/finances. The difference between me and you is i don't try to shame earners that want to keep their money, it's only logical. For us, taxes may seem like pennies (even though i'm still pretty annoyed that after all deductions from my check i get between 2/3- 3/4 of my money earned, which ends up being a pretty decent chunk of money so fuck you New York state) but for a middle to upper class individual those few seemingly negligible % in tax increase amount to thousands of dollars, if not tens of thousands. So get off your pedestal mate.
