Lol did you watch that video?
Both of those guys are heavily developmentally challenged, that was uncomfortable.
Well we briefly had a consensus on footy, now back to war:
(a) There looks to be a delay on the audio and video track, and the guy being interviewed looks to be dubbed, or not speaking in his native language, or both. He seems be an Australian in Iran, as opposed to an Iranian, with an Australian accent.
(b) He distinguishes between superficial affirmation and genuine loyalty.
(c) He articulates a normative principle ("true friendship" involves honest criticism).
(d) He applies that principle to political discourse, arguing that criticism among allies is healthier than empty praise.
That's a recognisable philosophical position. It's reminiscent of ideas found in traditions from Aristotle ("a friend tells the truth") to Confucius to modern psychology, where constructive criticism is viewed as a feature of authentic relationships rather than hostility. He is displaying conceptual thinking, self-reflection, and the ability to formulate general principles, regardless of whether one agrees with his world view or not.
What I would say is : I would have much preferred he speak in his native language with subtitles then this. A bit like watching Anime - Subbed never Dubbed please. But developmentally challenged, no.
