Its a nonsensical controversy that never held up to basic logical scrutiny
If sessions was perjuring himself for some nefarious purpose, why would he voluntarily lie about something that any dingbat with google could disprove in 2 minutes of combing the archives- his meetings were a matter of public record
Its just some semantic quibble over the distinction between meeting with the Russians {at all} versus meeting with the Russians {as a surrogate for the campaign}

Sessions sure showed he was a spineless worm who cowered and threw trump under the bus when the media turned its death ray on him back last winter though.
