Trump had the advantage of a gigantic economic boom and a string of improbable successes to make his reelection seem inevitable, now he's lost his economy and the jury is still out on how his coronavirus response will be viewed
Even if his coronavirus response is adequate, if the economy doesn't rev up again before the election he's going to lose
It seems to me as though Trump isn't being criticized by those on the right for his response to covid-19. If Conservative Reddit and The_Donald are anything to go by, it seems they feel Trump is doing a fine job and that issues related to covid-19 are about how China responded, the ineptitude of the CDC, and people over-reacting to "the flu".
Biden will experience the same thing that Hillary did in that Biden has virtually no appeal to young voters (which, don't really turnout to begin with), and campaigning on "At least I'm not Trump" is a horrible way to try and unify behind a "Blue No Matter Who" mantra.
