Each state has a separate process and it's often a bit arcane. For example, election workers are ALLOWED to determine intent of your ballot (for example, if you only fill in the bubble half way). That sounds sketchy, right? However, when you actually look at the procedures to do that (documentation, committees, etc.) you will be more convinced that it's a solid process. You also have to realize that this only happens to like 1 in 500 ballots or so.
Elites wanted you to believe it's fake for monetary/political gain. They are basically calling you stupid to your face. It sucks to hear but it's been largely successful because millions and millions of people believe the lie.
Like, look at Josh Hawley for instance. He is a Stanford and Yale educated person. He clerked for the US Supreme Court. He KNOWS the law but he made an objection because he thinks Trump supporters will flock to him. He honestly believes that he will get away with lying to Trump supporters because he believes they are too fucking stupid to do the research. Personally, I would be extremely insulted.
