not a contradiction at all. bone spurs in someone's feet can make him unable to stand or walk for sustainted periods of time, which means that he/she is useless as a soldier and thus not fit for military service. this person can nonetheless be super healthy otherwise and perfectly fit for the physical demands of a public office.

Oh come on, we all know that he dodged the draft, just like every rich kid at the time. Not being fit to serve as a soldier is still something very different from being fit to serve as a politician.

I dont think that was the comparison Skinned was drawing. It was the blatant dishonesty he habitually demonstrates.

It's an inspirational story, especially as somebody who broke my neck in the army and had to do physical rehabilitation and still live with chronic pain and limited mobility. Someone look up to and aspire to be. Hope I am a man like him one day
