I don't think the congresswoman making it public does anything for the fallen soldier's family. They just lost their husband/son/brother/etc, subjecting them to even more media attention is unfair.

It got them ~250k in crowdfunding, could be more than they're getting from the military.

i don't think anyone is "applauding" the congresswoman (or asking you to do it for that matter) - it's more about what parts of the story you choose to exaggerate / focus on, and which aspects you're ignoring / trying to downplay. but hey, to each their own...
