Kushner is smart but jr is only a notch above Eric and that's not a very high bar

I don't think anyone spends more than a minutes within a mile radius of Trump without learning to take people's words with a grain of salt.
Its so powerful an aura it causes spooky action at a distance

And you think that Donald Trump Jr was so unused to a world filled with bullshitters, hyporbole and snake oil salesmen trying to push dubious propositions that he would automatically take every vague prospect at face value?
You don't think that DTJr or Kushner or Manafort would have any cause for skepticism or caution about the too-good-to-be-true offer being pushed at them?
Donald Trump Jr, as in, Donald Trump's son, son of the biggest carnival barker since P.T. Barnum?

Trump Jr. thought he was meeting with a dubious but plausible prospect, and they entertained it enough just to figure out it was a hoax and then walked right out of the meeting. He's obviously got more experience than you or I at dealing with unreliable figures and sketchy business propositions. Virtually everyone in his orbit has built their life on dancing around the truth like its a game. If he wasn't walking into that meeting skeptical, then someone swapped him in the crib with a child that isn't Trump's son.

He met with them to learn what they were really on about. It turned out to be bogus. If it had been real, and he had taken their dirt as part of a government support for his campaign, and not reported it to the FBI, but weaponized it in the media- then you'd have something to criticize. Like how that's exactly what happened with the Manafort Ledger.

Trump Jr. said "if its what you say, I love it, especially later in the summer". So I'll just let that speak for itself. Apart from that, I'm just accurately describing who the woman was.

the conduct of president trump described in special counsel robert mueller's report would, in the case of any other person not covered by the office of legal counsel policy against indicting a sitting president, result in multiple felony charges for obstruction of justice.

'just' a couple of hundred former prosecutors...

lmao that’s when it was clear Pres Obama was getting flustered with Trump and started taking him seriously as a Presidential candidate. That if if if okie doke thing was a far cry from Obama’s usually smooth demeanor.

Fortunately the merry gang of racists in the (D) party including their 2016 candidate (who was mentored by someone that was in the kkk) just ignored Pres Obama

adding this to my prior post.
for everyone that somehow forgot, there have been investigations into the FISA court handling for quite some time.
IG horowitz has been at this since the clinton investigation. (as separate matters) which was stated to be waiting on mueller's report to be finished.
it has since been able to "continue" the investigations, and "because" of "malfeasance", the investigation has branched out to more departments.

this is an example of acknowledgement of the investigation during early 2018
bold shows the earlier memo being questioned. i'm trying to find out why that is and by who

FBI Statement on HPSCI Memo
The FBI takes seriously its obligations to the FISA Court and its compliance with procedures overseen by career professionals in the Department of Justice and the FBI. We are committed to working with the appropriate oversight entities to ensure the continuing integrity of the FISA process.

With regard to the House Intelligence Committee’s memorandum, the FBI was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it. As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.

again page 3 starts the declassified memo released in february. this is not the full scope of how or in what way the FISA courts were used and/or abused. but some example of it.

ran out of time to edit, i'm adding democratic response from schiff (he makes points worth noting)
https://www.scribd.com/document/372309050/Schiff-Memo

opinion of FBI reply:
it appears the FBI was concerned about the built narrative that the "russia investigation" started from the FISA warrants that used the Steele Dossier.
i would imagine they also take issue with the narrative that this was the first dealings with Page. (examples that show a FISC warrant may have been in order already for "some" renewals)

however, there are still other issues nunes brought up that need to be addressed.
