they both come from something that exists.

life (living systems) come from a language that exists. its an information system. nothing about the process suggests ex nihilo.

even dawkins is ready to say "the aliens did it"

Human life happens at conception and eventually decays from the material world at the time of death. The soul exists before and after those events.

The Bible doesn’t say anything about the sun revolving around the earth or the earth revolving around the sun. The language does seem to indicate more that the sun moves around the earth and rises and sets, but that is how it appears to people. Doesn’t have to mean it literally. People still say the sun rises and sets. Even weather forecast people. We know it doesn’t. We are not pretending it does. It is a figure of speech, or a way of talking. It isn’t literal. Therefore, we shouldn’t insist that the Bible be literal about everything either. Instead the writers used the language and perspective people understood. Our ability to fully conceptualize trivial matters such as infinity or dark matter, in the grand scheme of God and the vastness of the universe it really is silly to bring up figurative language as your gotcha.

Let's take things literal when it's convenient, and not when it isn't.

Do we take weather forecasters literally when they say the sun rises in the East? It’s almost like applying context to statements is important

I think most people who have studied the Bible seriously understand that much of the language is figurative. There are many fulfilled prophecies in view of this context.

Genesis makes it clear several times that the sun doesn't revolve around Earth, if you only cared to read it with sincerity. The trouble is that you want it to be false and therefore will always see it that way.

Yes yes, everything that doesn't line up with reality is obviously figurative, very convenient indeed.

A yes everything that has been disproven is now considered a figure of speech well how convinient indeed.
Funny how to Christians pre irrefutable proof came along, zealously believed the earth was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth? So much so that they would imprison and even put you to death if you disagreed with them.

It's hilarious that most people today consider the bible an allegorical morality tale rather than literal facts. If it's a figure of speech then it's not facts or truth by definition it's a rhetorical language devised to persuade with emotion and superstition rather than facts and data. Using amorphous language like the bible you can make it mean anything and everything you want it to be. You can't prove it or disprove it it's just a word salad of feelings and wild thoughts.

Did Jesus walk on water or was it a figure of speech? Did actual demons exist or was it a figure of speech for people acting possessed? Did God really send down 2 bears to maul 42 children or was it a moral story on respecting your elders? Did jonah really survive inside of a fish for 3 days? Or was it a typical bed time story on how you cannot outrun a God?
