And even if he was found to have defamed, he should not be responsible for what his fans did.

Also, defamations are false statements. There is no way to determine whether those parents are truly conspirators or not, therefore, his accusation could be true still. If this is the case then we cannot say definitively that he has committed defamation.

Actually, upon further thought, I determined that AJ hadn't slandered the victims' parents. Slander is defined as when someone says something false that damages another person's reputation. However, the parents have no reputation to speak of. "I am the parent of a victiom of Sandy Hook shooting" is not a reputation. Therefore, AJ did not harm anybody's reputation. Hence, he didn't commit slander. He did spread falsehoods, however that in itself is not illegal.

You can't bend the rules because you don't like it. He didn't show up so he lost. It was not all of a sudden. He was given many notices and fines for not showing up and at one point judge had enough.
