Its logic. While I'm explaining concepts like disproportionate representation and the availability of warning signals, you just scream 'bigot' as if its the free win button it is at a democratic socialist caucus. Except this is PARD, and nobody cares. As I stated, that story revolved around child protective services being alerted to the very circumstances that you dismiss. You say its bigotry and a red herring to focus on the extreme sexual deviancy, while authorities in this case identified it as a warning sign of a dangerous environment for a child. Which led to the discovery of a child sex torture dungeon. And then what, we're supposed to act surprised that the trans kink BDSM pornographer turned out to be a child sex offender? Because you've decided making that association is haraam? As I said, if the state authorities in this case followed your arguments, a 7 year old girl would still be a sex slave.

Yeah, you threw a red herring, and now are bringing up throwing a red herring. Then you follow it up with begging the question.

Too many critical thinkers here for this to work. We get you really really don't like this guy and you have made all this rationale to justify your own personal bias because you don't want to believe you have a mental illness like hating gay people. You attack other people this guy is unconnected to and say "I don't like those people. This other guys is bad" and uncritical people fall for it until it's spelled out.

We all have mental health issues, I get it. The core of bigoted mental illness is rigid thinking/black and white thinking

No, I'm not the mayor from footloose like you guys are lol.

I used to listen to a band called Gwar, and they made fun of people like you a lot. Check out Gwar The Morality Squad. Goomshill is full Grambo right now lol.

Cool, there is a band dedicated to us?

Read his post and apply critical thinking if you can. His arguments are non sequitur and overly emotional.

Then you need to show how his arguments are non sequitur and emotional. Just screeching that they are won't do.

Again, applying critical thinking to his reasoning and the logical consequence is that all MAGA church pastors and political leaders are pedos and sex criminals.

Goom didn't mention Maga church pastors at all, as far as I can tell. What are you on about?

This isn't a retort. I am sure even you know this?

His argument is that conservative culture is superior because kids are safer but that is objectively untrue. The trauma is kept silent in conservative culture.

Goom didn't mention conservatives as far as I can tell.

Omg if you were at the Gwar concerts I went to as a teen your head would explode. They would shoot jizz all over you with giant prosthetic dicks while playing death metal rock.

Lol, that's the kind of concert you are drawn to. Not surprised at all.

You might fall for "some people over there did some criminal and weird shit in a basement, so this guy over here shouldn't have this job" kind of argument but it doesn't make me emotional for calling it out.

We get that you think only certain people should be allowed to do certain things.

But Goom didn't say that this guy should not have this job because of what some other criminal did. He mentioned that other criminal to illustrate that these sexual deviants have a higher than normal rate of being a sex offender.

Yes he did. He did exactly that. It is called begging the question and it is a formal critical thinking fallacy. It is one of three or four he really applied to his post, a red herring itself, and then used ad hominem when called out. They are like bad pokemon abilities.

I would asset that Christian leaders and GOP political leaders are way more likely based on most evidence. Goom will defend Matt Gaetz paying for sex from underage girls, has done it here, because SHILL is in the name.

I respect the hell out of his consistency and ability to demagogue here. Best demagogue in PaRD.

I believe that would be one of those red herrings he fished out of the sea and was on about
Because as I pointed out, the particular thread being hashed out was one of disproportionate representation and warning signs. So when he points to some hypothetical (not even the footwork for an example) of a case in a vastly larger demographic, it doesn't hold the same relevance as repeated strings of sexual deviants turning out to be pedophiles. Which at the crux of the argument is actually pretty blunt common sense: People who embrace one type of sexual deviancy are just a stone's throw away from another form of sexual deviancy. They're one letter away in that alphabet soup. Folks who define their identity not by mere sexual preference or orientation, but rather by overt display of degeneracy like kink / bdsm / taboo / etc, are of a personality archetype that is willing to cross societal boundaries and seek degenerate forms of sexual gratification. And all too often, involving minors. That's why we keep getting incidents of 'parade with a kid in drag' or 'trans activist turns out to be pedophile' or so on. And some of those same activists are overtly pushing for society to integrate pedophilia, like the "MAP" movement and prostasia.

If we were discussing the relationship between regressive sunni islam and terrorism, will there be people who scream that its islamophobic bigotry to make that link? When Craig starts following Nation of Islam message boards and renames himself to Muhammed X Ibrahim, espouses violent terrorist-adjacent ideological beliefs, starts threatening female coworkers for not wearing the hijab, stakes out synagogues and starts stockpiling large amounts of guns and fertilizer, don't you think the FBI should at least take a peek at what he's building in his garage? Sure, he's entitled to his personal religious beliefs. He's got a right to self-determination of his religious identity. He's allowed to associate with people who share his beliefs, we can't say he's necessarily a terrorist. But if the FBI is making lists, he's on top of it.

and nows a good time to point out the part where Marina Volz (real name: Matthew Volz) was president of the Queer and Trans Student Association at Clark College in Washington, a prominent trans activist with a public persona;
https://medium.com/clarkjour101/pride-day-at-clark-college-4566463fca1e

Quote
Despite the event being a mere two years old — with the first Pride Day celebrated at Clark in mid-May of 2016 — the current Pride Day attracted plenty of visitors. Marina Volz, the president of the Queer Student Association, said roughly 100 students were on the roster for the luncheon and its speech alone.
Even after the speech had started, the audience continued to grow. So many people showed up that there were no longer any seats available, and they had to stand along walls and crowd by the door.
...
Marina Volz, the Queer Student Association president, agreed. Volz, who identifies as a transgender woman, said Pride isn’t a party; she said it’s a double-edged sword. Rather, Volz said, Pride is a time to show different identities — such as non-binary where the person identifies as neither gender — or different lifestyles led by people who identify as gay or lesbian.
“It’s just sad to me that we have to have Pride in order to draw attention to these people and the issues they go through, and to see the oppression these people experience,” Volz said.
Volz said Pride shouldn’t be needed, but it is. Without this event, she said, there would be less of a sense of community, since society pressures LGBTQ+ people to keep their lifestyles hidden. Volz said it’s her job as head of the Queer Student Association to be the face of LGBTQ+ students on campus.

How very stunning and brave of him. 25 years from now maybe he'll reconnect with his old college buddies from the association
though I wouldn't hold my breath for anyone to survive 25 years as a chomo in the slammer... unless they get to serve it in women's prison and father some rape babies. Actually maybe this all works out in the end

Yes! I was giving an exact counter example to your example. The counter example to a red herring is a red herring.

And here you go again with arguments by analogy, the weakest kinds of argument against this guy having this job. Him having this job is bad because people can't speak up against Islamic terrorism now (they can and do). Socrates is scratching his head at this syllogism.

This is a scenario created in your imagination, quite literally, before our very eyes. You're writing pedophilic fan fic of the Secretary of Energy. The alt-right has some weird psychosexual issues.

suppose I accept your stat for the sake of the argument that lgbtq people are more likely to be pedophiles than the general populace
that still doesn't disqualify this guy from the role he's been hired for?
