Like I said, I don't share your reverence for institutions and laws. One could say that homosexuality is a mental illness because it was deemed so by the APA until a resolution in 1973.

The entire point is to provide equal protections to all under the law. So it's perfectly legal for you to say Fundamental Christians are complete idiots and should be executed by the state. You have that right. Likewise, the fundamentals have the right to say that sodomites are sinners violating their god's laws, and the government should execute them. Both are simple speech. Now, when you attempt to defend LGBT people bombing a church and call it "self-defense" over protected speech? Okay, LGBT activists have been incredibly harsh against Christianity, and have said a lot of crazy things that should be done to or against them. So would it not be "self defense" for the Fundamentalists to go and start bombing any and all LGBT establishments in their own self-defense?

Your very stance is the exact reason so many fought so hard for so long to prevent LGBT rights. "Give an inch, they'll take a mile, then your life." It's like if I call you a poo poo head and so you punch me. Okay, now I know you're going to violently attack me when I'm simply exercising my right to speech. So, next time, KNOWING you're going to attack me, why shouldn't I simply stab you and forget speech?
