Lol, fair enough snipa, fair enough.

I honestly haven’t had a drink in about the same amount of time, & although I’m only a smoke a bowl after work & the gym kinda guy, I recently went cold-turkey on that as well. Plus it’s your birthday ? Shit, then for those reasons I’m about to make a drink then. Happy birthday man

Well, it's a shame, but to be fair I'm not that upset.

She wasn't actually a person, just a cluster of cells.

RIP to the old lady. Lasted on sheer will to live for quite a long time.

I do have to say that with the whole lifetime appointment thing the SC feels very aristocratic from an outside look in. Of course it helps that it's an elected position and not hereditary, but I still get some of those vibes.

She'll be disappointed that she's forced to vote for the nominee before election day... but nevertheless, she will.

that's my expectation
her favorability took a big hit out here after kavanaugh
i think taking a principled stance against confirmation just before the election could help her in what is currently a tight race
but i'm not going to hold my breath

Okay, reflecting back on it for 2 seconds, I can see what you mean about him being set in his ways, & refusing to learn or see the other sides point of view, 100%. I just think the constant digs about him being older, & not having kids because “x”, & how he just needs to catch Covid & die, & nobody will miss him is pretty harsh haha.

he deserves it

while it's for a lifetime its not required. U can step down. We're just in a political environment where that's risky. And lifetime has its bonuses too as it prevents big swings every 4 years
