Like a few days ago he tried to claim that an obama foundation twitter link to Obama.org showing an image of George Floyd dated May 17th was proof of a preplanned conspiracy. Except twitter links fetch their images dynamically at the time of html rendering from their source, so when Obama.org put up a picture of George Floyd after he died, it changed the images on the old links. And the LARPer was too dumb to know how tech works

I have a couple family members who are into that stuff. There's not that much of a leap beyond Fox News/talk radio to QAnon. Same basic concepts of a conspiracy to get Trump and a heroic effort to fight back. Massive, paranoid distrust of media, institutions, and expertise.

All that's needed is the introduction and an internet connection.... then down the rabbit holes they go.

We had a truck driver deliver some material at work the other day, dude went FULL Q anon after we lightly talked about the protests, because it was shortly after that semi truck plowed into protesters. Started talking about how Alaska and Idaho don't have earthquakes and its actually Trump using explosives to create underground caverns, where hes storing 35,000 molested kids to keep them safe from all the people hes about to arrest. Among a mountain of other topics. I recorded most of it. Absolutely insane.
