you are correct, YOUR references weren't anecdotal, they're just obscure.

i was talking about humans and you brought up Winnie, Bogie is talking about people and you bring in surgically altered people, etc.

the topic can be more accurately broke down thusly:

for thousands of years "he" and "she" had a near 100% overlap with the corresponding genitalia for human beings, accounting only for the disfigured. in the past 10 years that's changed. it is a change, it wasn't like that from the invention of gendered pronouns until recently.

this shouldn't be controversial, and yet it seems to be. Why? because Trans advocates have failed (understandably) to get traction on convincing people to change willingly, and instead choose to gaslight people into thinking this isn't a change at all and it's just them being bigoted.

aka modern political discourse, 1. fail to convince others, 2. change facts or history to try and be more persuasive, fail, 3. shame others, fail.

both sides do it.

Nah, you've affirmed pretty much every point I made in this thread, youre just unwilling to drop one talking point and see the big picture.

Which big picture specifically?

i fully acknowledged (many times) that genitals aren't the only factor in the application of gender pronouns over time. they just happen to be a constant bereft of changes in the characteristics that we use to define the genders over time.

If someone ask me i will use he/she instead of she/he but whatever, transsexuals are really hard to find, i means i got invited once at some "The Love Boat" party (awesome people btw), no one was trans...
Basically i can say that today i never met a Trans or... It was someone who was hiding it. it's pretty weird to hear so much about it while it's actually a super tiny part of population.

That it's been a lot longer than 10 years since we stopped using genitals, even if in most cases it correlated well with genitals

The question is "works for what". Every categorization system "works" for something

For every day life in canada i suppose
Didn't speak with a trans person for 30 years of my life till i went to thailand and there i just understand that they're trans and leave it at that

Asking could be construed as offensive, if you ask a girl what her pronouns are you might as well call them ugly and if you're asking a guy what their pronouns are you might as well say they're girly

Just call people by their name when in doubt id say

"correlated well with genitals"

translated: easily high enough % to be used as a general rule. all cases outside of the general rule could be described as obscure.

i see those cases, "the big picture" as you put it. but they don't affect the general rule that existed until very recently. they're interesting for sure, but they don't affect that trans people are trying to gaslight people about the general rule's existence. minor exceptions don't disprove a general rule.

Nah I've never used genitals to make the pronoun determination. Its always been based on secondary and tertiary characteristics. You've never used genitals, you've just adopted the talking point.

now you're just being overly semantic. any time i used the phrase "used genitals" i was, from memory, speaking about ancient times when no clothes were used. not just for fun, but to provide a baseline in the timeline from when pronouns were first created. that era also accounts for about what? 50,000-100,000 years of human existence? it's relevant data.

honestly we're going in circles and i'm not sure why. i've reduced this down to as simple and agreeable terms as i can. now on response #20 you're strawmanning me? "adopting the talking point", pretty ironic for someone going to bat for gaslighting sjws.

it's really simple, gosh it's almost tiring repeating that 12 posts in a row with no traction. "boy" was 99.999% correlated with "has penis" for thousands of years, now people are trying to change that. the same goes for "girl". is even that something you can agree with? i gave you the venn diagram explanation like 8 posts ago lol. still circling the drain tho...

I wrote if someone ask me. Alt right & "Conservatives", "Religious" (liars 99% of the time) ... Have zero arguments against this simple way to show minimal education.
