You ever see a town die when the mill or the plant closes and the money and opportunity leave town? First people try to stay afloat and for a while they keep it together then when all the wells run dry it gets dark. Addictions from trying to cope, crime to survive, abuse as a consequence of the conditions. Lives family and community destroyed
What people forget is that poverty sees no color. When it grabs hold it will do to all the same.
More of this is coming. We wont stop it what we can do is lessen the damage as we once again adapt to the technology.
The Democrats are using a war we already won while avoiding our current war which is to keep as many people from falling apart as possible as we adapt. Supremacy is gasping for air. The far right is less powerful than ever. Conservatives are under the eye of the hawk. Trans people will be accepted as the rest have been.
More poverty is coming and that will hurt everyone including minorities. It sets us back it destroys the communities that are now more accepting than ever.
