The FBI only agreed to show the FISA application on the condition that only 1 democrat and 1 republican on the house committee would read it, so they selected Gowdy and Schiff, who both read it. Then Gowdy co-wrote the memo with Nunes, briefing the rest of the committee on it. Now the left is running a talking point of "Nunes never read the memo" to try to discredit him.
Gowdy says:

As I have said repeatedly, I also remain 100 percent confident in Special Counsel Robert Mueller. The contents of this memo do not - in any way - discredit his investigation.
Cool. There's no mistaking the desperation on the Trump side to get rid of the pesky Mueller situation. Good to see that Gowdy isn't a sellout to Trump even though he's still a wannabe Inquisitor.

While this memo raises serious concerns with the FISA process, I have been and remain confident in the overwhelming majority of the men and women serving at the FBI and DOJ.
And that's the most important part, right there. The bureaucracy is functioning above the fold; it's FISA that's the problem (ignore for a moment that the GOP overwhelmingly voted to authorize the FISA process in spite of their pseudo-leftist outrage against it). The left has long
railed against FISA. We despised Obama for his abuse of the FISA courts and illegal NSA surveillance. You don't need to look farther than Naomi Klein or Amy Goodman to verify that I'm telling the truth.
The left despised Obama. But he was a still a lesser evil. Easier to fight. Easier to stall.
