What matters is whether even one rabid fan could see it that way or not.
And they obviously could.
Trump knew exactly what he was saying and the potential consequences of saying it.
Nothing else matters on this subject.

I disagree because trump knowing it could be interpreted that way then still saying it shows his intent.
And trump said what he said it is not a misinterpretation.
