Get people amped and polarized while everyone ignores further corporate consolidation and control, continued outsourcing, workers rights stripped away in favour of returns, diminishing product life expectancy, quality, and ownership of said product for that matter. Life for the average person certainly appears that it not turning any corners anytime soon for the better and it seems to be less of an issue than whatever political thing can be argued over in the moment.

15 years ago "independent media" were people online that reported on reporting. "this just in, CNN is reporting that ______. let's discuss"

today, mainstream media reports on independant reporting. "blogger nick shirley makes major claims in recent viral video, let's have 6 people from both sides discuss on a panel".

its actually a bit admirable. in 2016 to 2020 they lost whatever credability they still had post-iraq war. but rather than fold up and just file for bankrupcy they just rolled with it and stopped trying to do actual research and reporting. they outsourced it to the group of people who were set up to replace them, bloggers and twitter personalities, and used them as unpaid employees to continue existing. its smart and pathetic all at the same time.

you're not wrong. but i'd argue contact alone doesn't establish lethal intent. if she's trying to simply escape she'd turn the wheels and run, which is still incredibly stupid but its not the same as trying to commit vehicular homicide.

like we've seen many cases of people driving into crowds, or even people shooting at Ice agents. this just doesnt seem like that. its a dumb lady who by all accounts is literally part of a group of people who's sole purpose is to impede ICE.

and rather than get out of her way, follow her and pull her over, and arrest her (a good sign to people not to fuck with ICE during raids), they shoot her and create a martyr in a case that's anything but cut and dry. she was unarmed, appears to be trying to escape, and the officer was only slightly nudged.

then the regime calls her a domestic terrorist, and trump says the cop is lucky to be alive and in the hospital. so its gaslighting to try and save the day.

I mean rightfully so, I don't think the government should be campaigning to pick up political votes they should be performing their duties as government officials and representatives. If the media wants to misconstrue what they're doing as 'us versus them' I don't think that's something you can pin entirely on the government, although they've been in cahoots with media in the past.

What's baffling is that stamping out fraud is considered a political issue when it's something that's beneficial to all constituents. Or weeding out criminals. These used to be center issues, now they are right? Does unifying the center mean prior center issues have to move left?

Based on photos, appears 1 through the windshield in the bottom corner, one way the fuck off in the front fender, straight stormship trooper mode and then what probably killed her is two through the open drivers window while the officer is beside the car, which an occupants head would take most of that window area so probably the most probable headshot.

No one needs a safe space. Atleast not me. It's just barking, I'll engage with the idea once in good faith and done. Many people who have been here but are now gone after being whipped by yours truly needed that safe space though 😅
