Abortion has nothing to do with protecting women as it doesn't pose a significant risk to woman in general. Billions of women give birth every day and an insigifnicantly tiny portion of them die from complications related to the birth, mostly in poor countries where the quality of healthcare isn't that great.

Afaik the vast majority of abortions (in the west) are done at the discretion of the mother to be as she simply doesn't want the baby and that's all there is to it.

Agreed. This country certainly does not need any more neglected children running around eventually filling up our prison system, suffering from homelessness, drug use, etc.

If you think you can't provide for a child at this time seems more than legitimate enough for me. Those who oppose abortion time and time again have proven they give two shits about the less fortunate once they are born so really the whole abortion thing for them "abolition is murder" is just some political talking point at this point and no one can really take them seriously.

Most of the Western World is for abortion at this point. For some reason some diehard US Republicans feel they have to align their beliefs with Africa, South America, and the Philippians. This could make sense I suppose because those countries are poorly educated and highly brainwashed by religion.

easy with the propaganda there, big brain

Your ilk rioted and caused unheard of damages because they disagreed with literally .0000003% of police interactions. That is 6 zeroes and I rounded up.

I don't encourage it nor do I think abortions are a good thing (ultimately you're killing a tiny human here) but yes its a perfectly legit reason and I think we're better off as a society not forcing this issue on women.

If she doesn't want the baby.... then she shouldn't "make" the baby. ^^

There's a lot of things that shouldn't happen in an ideal world, but because we live in reality, we have to have a form of dealing with things that do happen.

Now if you have a head on your shoulders you know that countries with liberal abortion laws result in less unintended pregnancies which means outlawing abortion isn't going to stop the making of a baby for a person that does not want one. Quite obviously this helps prevent the cycle given that kids born into families that do not want them perform the worst socio-economically and have poor education rates which means they have a higher rate of repeating the same thing, resulting in more kids and the cycle continues.

Its not overly difficult to understand.

But again, the diehard US Republican would rather align themselves with Africa, South American and other underdeveloped societies.

On a fundamental philosophical level abortions in the west happen because comforts and hedonism are prioritized over the life of the unborn child. You're not doing an unborn child a favor by snuffing it out of existence so it doesn't live a life of poverty. Hell, I was born in an extremely poor country, and billions other were and if you ask all of these people would tell you they rather exist and struggle in poverty (with a potential chance to escape it) vs not existing at all.

Wish the pro-abortion side would just be honest and stop talking about rapes or incest that account for such a negligible part of abortions. Like just be honest and say I rather finish college, or I want to fuck around without consequences, or I don't want to be burdened by caring for a kid.
